So what is Afterpay?
Think of it like a modern version of layby. Afterpay splits the transaction cost into four equal, budget-friendly installments that are directly debited from your credit or debit card. Say your purchase comes to $200, rather than paying out the total amount upfront, your first Afterpay payment would only be $50 (25% of the item amount).
And here’s another bonus – unlike traditional laybys where you can’t take home your purchase until the end – Afterpay lets you have your items right away!
How does it work?
1. Choose Afterpay at checkout
Afterpay is fully integrated with the store’s online checkout. All you need to do is choose Afterpay as your payment option when you’re ready to buy.
2. Quickly create an account using your existing debit or credit card
Afterpay splits your payments over four equal installments due every fortnight. Nominate the card you want to use and automatic payments are scheduled for you.
